MilkDrop's 1st Birthday!

Yes folks Milkdrop is nearly 1 year old.

--------------
0.99 - 5/11/01
-first version
--------------
(That's the 11th May for those of use like me who have to convert )

And to celebrate I though we should create a collection of the best presets that had been creted for the wonderful plug-in. This collection will then be posted on the MilkDrop website for everyone to share rather than going through the 1,400 presets there.

How are we going to do this? Will if you post here a collection of your favorite top 40 presets then they can be collated and made into an overall pack of a few hundred probably.

The best thing to do is probably post a zip to this post (rather then type in 40 different names) or email them to me at MilkDropWebsite@hotmail.com (posting here is prefered).

When posting try and use the name as on MilkDrop.co.uk so we are all reading the same script.

Try to also if possible try to make your top40 a little varied therefore showing off the power of what MilkDrop can do!

I will post mine tommorrow and put reminders up on the website and messages in the preset packs for people downloading.

Lets see many posts hear people. Don't be shy I want all the veiwers here to post!

Here's mine. I only pucked user-made presets. Anyone downloading this will already have all of Ryan's.

There's 38 of them. I could have done more, but I had to restrict myself.

Same here, I'll get mine posted tonight. I think this list of 200 or so should be the ones that are packaged with the official version of MD v1.03... rather than the ones currently with v1.03? That way everyone would be able to see straight away what we have done, rather than waiting till they come to this site or Rova's to get more presets...

Expect my list in the next 12 hrs or so.......

well between krash and zylot thats 7 uncounted votes so that means i get em, right?

seriously though, its hard as hell to pick 40... i was being very particualar in my criteria at first and even then i came up with 56... to narrow down the list i had to get rid of a couple of my favorites (and a few that i knew everyone else would pick several times)

also i didnt pick anything that was already included in milkdrop (hey id be losing votes for no reason then wouldnt i :P)

And here's mine... everyone's Top 40 so far is pretty different to mine, but I guess that's good, we'll get more variety in our pack... was hard to pick though

What a great response so far.

Mine coming in a bit.

Ummh not sure what to do about the ones that come MilkDrop as that collection keeps changing.

But for now if it is included with MilkDrop then you can omit it.

I know it is hard work to just get 40 or so.

Me and my Newbie :)

I'll just check through you guys' top 40's and then do the best I can. Out of those that came with MD, I created a new folder of about 100 or so that was my favourites. Of those I like both the Julia Fractals, and smoke, shake, bass_zoom... well... there are quite a few, but I tend to like those that respond well to the music. Nautilus is another that I liked quite a bit. Though I decided to add color.

I'll post it back here in a couple of days... there will be a couple of presets to go through.

Ok, I only went through the top40 picks of the ppl already posted, and then I picked my top40 out of those.

Here they are, I had to add my own... simply 'cause I think that those of mine that are in, are good enough to be in. ))

Ok... attached Canderels top 40
