listen.pls AAC, MP3 with shoutcast2

Hi all, first I have to say that I broadcast with DNAS v1.9.8 since a long time now and I'm testing v2 for 10 days. I have used the online configuration builder (witch is a good idea), I have an mp3 licence too, but no listeners...except me I noticed that my station doesn't send "now playing" title even I enabled "usemetadata=1"...strange because I see it on my admin page. I want to use two channels: one .mp3 & one .aac

where are you finding it's not sending the title i.e. in a connected client or somewhere else?

without trying the config, it looks ok assuming you've also specified all of the passwords in the sc_serv configuration file to match those in the sc_trans configuration.

Your streampaths in your sc_serv section are funky:

for DrO, I was talking about "now playing" on the shoutcast directory http://www.shoutcast.com/Internet-Radio/
and for thinktink (funcky), you're right the syntax is very important and nonsense (contradictious) parameters can make it bad.
I'm gonna try to configure dj interface later and perhaps I'll ask your help again, I hope you don't mind, thanks again!

what versions of the v2 tools are you using? as there's some quirks with different beta builds as to how well that will work.

k, thought that might be the case.

i would suggest then that you install sc_serv2 build 18 (just released as a fix to last week's build 17) as that passes titles to the YP which it finds easier to handle (had a tendency to do it as 'artist - album - title' which breaks certain handling of the YP but is now doing 'artist - title' and seems to work more reliably.

if that doesn't help, then will need more details about the titles going through the DNAS but best to see first what happens with build 18
