Various artists

Let me start by saying that I have searched this forum for answers to my question but found no solution. I want to have compilations grouped as Various Artists in the artist window of the media library instead of having each of these listed seperately with one track from the album. I saw several suggested solutions in which the album artist is set to Various Artists but I do not see how that helps me when 'Customize columns' in the artist window does not have album artist as an option.

"Album artist" is how its done and u can sort by it using the buttons near where the search box is. U can also add AA column to the bottom tracks pane

Ah. I have overlooked those buttons. It works as intended now so thanks a lot.
