Sync playlist help

Hi,

I have been at it for a couple of hours and cannot figure out how to "Sync" a playlist to my Sansa E250. It know it can be done, because there is a "sync" button!

I have my Sansa detected, and have tried it in either USB modes. I have gone to "preferences -> media library -> portables -> Sansa" and selected the proper playlist that I only want updated. The playlist shows up in the media library.

I formatted the Sansa to start from scratch. I then hit "send to sansa" on the playlist. It copied all the music properly.

But I cannot "sync". As in, I deleted some music from the playlist, clicked on the device, hit "sync", but it does not remove the files from the device that I had removed from the playlist...

...rather, it pops up with the sync menu, and wants to sync every single file in the library (over 6000 songs), yet there are only about 300 songs on the playlist. In other words, it does not recognize that I set it to only sync one playlist.

Any help would be appreciated! I really want to switch from WMP11, but this makes it hard as it is so easy over there

Could it be a Vista x64 issue?

Have you disabled the library sync? Look again at the prefs.

I don't see an option to enable or disable library sync. Any chance you can point me to it? I'm pretty sure it is enabled anyways, as when I hit the sync button, it pops up.

The problem is, it wants to transfer the whole library, not just the one playlist I specified in preferences.

Awesome! I really, really cannot believe I missed that scroll down bar, I'm such a tool :

Thanks for the help, it is working fine now after I disabled the "update all songs on local library".

Don't feel too bad, I just did the same thing.

Perhaps the choice not to sync the entire library should be first? Or make the existing options fit so well in the single window.

It used to be first. Back then the scrollbar was more obvious because one of the big boxes was clipped by the edge of the window.
