Need some ideas: sending slightly different content to several Shoutcast servers
Say I'm an internet DJ and I want to do a show simultaneously on two stations. Can anyone think of a way to dynamically substitute, say, station identification and send it out separately, while keeping the majority of the content the same?

Generally, inserting station IDs, sweepers etc should be the responsibility of the station.
If the show is pre-recorded, send the stations "chunks" so they can queue them up in the right order, and drop their own IDs into the mix (between chunks). If the show is "live" it gets a bit more complicated, but one option is to stream your show to your own private shoutcast server. Stations relay that stream via their own automation software, and again can fade to a jingle or promo when they want to. |
