Unable to convert FLAC to MP3

I am also having trouble converting FLAC to MP3 with format converter.
"Transcoding Error... cannot open converter"
Seems to happen with high res files 24/96 I bought from HD Tracks?
Is format converter not able to handle the high res files?

Sorry if this has been answered I tried a search...

Winamp 5.65
Skin: Bento
Windows 8 Pro
System specs Thinkpad X1 Carbon Core i5-3427U
Video Card: HD4000
Sound Card: Realtek HD

Hi PaulieD,

Do you have "Allow 24bit" enabled in the General Preferences Playback options?

Just curious, why do you want to degrade your songs by going from flac (loss-less) to mp3 (lossy)?
