Did you know nutmeg was a hallucinogen?

Was browsing this drugs website (www.erowind.com), and clicked on a drop-down box of common drugs.

Although the common drugs were there, cannabis, cocaine, etc., when I spotted nutmeg.

Thinking it was a nickname, like grass, I clicked on it. It isn't.

"Eating 10g of nutmeg is equivalent to 1 marijuana cigarette." So if I'm posting here at 9.00 and making absouletely no sense, that's why.

(I'm not into drugs at all really, I'm just really curious at this)

Erowid is a good site, but some of that is bullshit. Its saying nutmeg is a hallucinogen, but weed isnt so it cant be equivalent to a joint.

Other than that, pretty much true..you can trip from eating nutmeg, but Id rather do shrooms if I wanted to trip.

No, its not the Butane fumes that makes you trip. Salvia is a plant, you can buy the leaf or extract (stronger) legally to trip. Since its like no other drug, they cant classify it therefor its still legal.

Im not afraid to try them. I just dont feel a need too. I grew up around marijuana and know the causes and effects to the person and to the family. I havn't been around much more than just that because I wont allow myself to be around it.

Its not the drug, its the user. Marijuana can be very beneficial to anyone, not just medical users..that is if you know what you are doing and not let it take over your life.

And how often does this happen? I agree with medicidal marijuana becuase in those cases the person is either in a) to much pain without it to live or b) is going to die soon an d this would allow them to die in some sort of piece.

Well, let me correct you on a few things first off. Marijuana isnt particularly the solution for pain associated with a disease. Im a Medical user for nausea/appetite loss from chemotherapy, and thats mostly what it is given for. AIDS/Cancer/Glaucoma/Depression/Anxiety are all valid reasons to use marijuana medicinally, or get it prescribed if you live in a state where it is legal..

Now, about it being beneficial..Hemp is the worlds strongest natural fiber and can be used industrially to produce paper, clothing, fuel, soap, etc. So not only would industrial use be good for the environment, it would be good for profit.

Marijuana could also replace pills such as Xanex, Ritalin,, Klonopin, Ambien, ******, etc. to make a person not feel so zombie-like when they are on tons of medication. I know this first hand from experience.

It is because it is illegal, that so many bad things are associated with its use..Alcohol and Tobacco are legal, but yet they have high death rates when Marijuana has none.

If it was legal, the government could tax it and stop people from potentially getting killed purchasing it from a shady person. This would stop alot of crime, and the cops could focus on real troubles in the world instead of arresting and seizing pot from a Compassion Club that supplies Medical users, or your average Joe who likes to smoke a joint after work..

Balls it. I'm gonna try it. I'm measuring out the recommend dose of nutmeg (about 10g), I've got a big glass of coke to wash it down, and I'm gonna get damn high.

Took it, wasn't that bad. Slight nausea, but that was probably the cola. No other effects.

I'll post every half-hour for the next 3 hours to tell you what's happening.

/edit (2 min. later) Don't be a retard like me, and try to flush the excess nutmeg down the loo, it doesn't go down.

/edit (5 min. after first dose) Took an extra teaspoon for the hell of it, still still nausea.

40 min. in. Only effect is a very slight headache. But apparently it takes 2 hours to get digested.

My friends and I orderd some salvia and smoked a ton of it out of a bong and it had absolutely no effect on us at all. so we either got a bag of oregano or we smoked it improperly.
