Transcoding failed. Cannot find decoder

This is the message I get when trying to use the "Send to: format converter" on a playlist. The source is flac, and I want to convert to --alt-preset insane: mp3 320kbps.

I have used this exact same function a week ago, and it worked like it should. I uninstalled and reinstalled winamp twice, but to no avail. I have tried the wnaspi32.dll workaround, but without success. I have installed no 3d party plugins.

Hm, I just tried selecting all the files in the playlist instead of just right clicking on the playlist, and it works

Correct. That's the one and only way to do it.

You can't convert a playlist file (m3u, m3u8, pls, etc) to an audio file.

Well my mistake then I was convinced Winamp would be smart enough to select the files contained by the playlist, instead of returning a not-very-helpful error message.

I am having the same problem converting (error message: Cannot find Decoder.") I have read this post and tried selecting the music every way possible; from the playlist individually, from a search, in groups etc. I always get the same message: Cannot find decoder.

Is there something I need to be doing to select the files I want to convert? (I'm not really understanding the quote above as I think I have tried selecting all the files in the playlist...

I am converting from WMA to MP3 using Windows XP installed on a Mac (Boot Camp) -- the WMA files play when transferred from my old computer to boot camp which leads me to beleive that there is no DRM issue.
